FAQs

What are Miltie’s Mini Courses?

Activity courses provide fun, challenge, and excitement for new learning that capitalizes on the different “intelligences” of children. Instructors are all staff of Milltown School.

When are Mini Courses?

All Mini Courses are held one day per week at Milltown School from 2:50-4:15PM.

When does session begin?

All sessions run for 5 consecutive weeks, unless school is closed. There are also make-up weeks (weather related) built into all sessions.

Where do I pick up my child?

Parent pickup takes place at 4:15PM at the front door/main entrance. Parents can drive up and pick up children curbside. No parents are allowed inside the school.

What are the fees?

All Mini Courses cost $60 per student per session. Ten dollars for every registration will go to the Milltown PTO. If there are additional fees required for a Mini Course, they are not included in the PTO donation and go directly to the teacher.

What are the minimum/maximum number of students per course?

All courses have a minimum of 5 students that must be met in order for the course to run. Please be sure to register early to ensure that your child gets a spot and to guarantee that the class runs! If the course does not meet the minimum requirement, we will cancel the course and give you the option to move to another open course.

Can my child bring a snack?

You may send your child with a drink and snack.  ALL snacks must be nut-free! Please read all descriptions and reach out to your individual teachers if your child has any food allergies or restrictions.

What if my child has food allergies or restrictions?

Some food-related courses (i.e., Cupcake Decorating) involve food products and may inadvertently contain allergen-related products.  Please read all descriptions and reach out to your individual teachers if your child has any food allergies or restrictions.

How do I know if this program is age appropriate for my child?

Please be sure to review the grade levels included in each course. The teachers have designed the courses for specific ages and we want to be sure that only those grades included in the course description register for each course.

What should I do if I have specific questions about a Mini Course?

If you have any questions or concerns about whether a specific Mini Course is appropriate for your child, please reach out to the individual teacher running the course. The goal is for all children to benefit from these amazing experiences.
